First-time daddy-to-be Josh Duhamel taped an episode of "Live! With Kelly and Michael" on Tuesday (airing Wednesday) and revealed the baby's gender to the world for the first time.
The revelation came about in a back-and-forth game with the hosts. After they held up both pink and blue onesies in front of the "Scenic Route" star, he playfully asked the audience, "What do you guys think? Boy or girl?"
Duhamel, 40, then reached for the blue onesie — much to Michael Strahan's surprise — and held it up with a huge smile on his face.
The revelation comes just a day after reports that mom-to-be Fergie was formally changing her name from "Stacy Ann Ferguson" to "Fergie Duhamel."
Back in May, Fergie shared a bit of her nervousness about motherhood with "omg! Insider." "I'm still waiting for my maternal instincts to kick in, really," she said. "I'm sure a lot of new moms can really relate to that, so I'm hoping it'll happen before it comes out."
And in a recent interview with "ET Canada," Duhamel said that he's looking forward to the challenges that come with parenting. Moreover, he shared that he expects to be a very hands-on dad. "I plan on taking [off] as much time as I can just before and as much time as possible after," the actor explained. "I can't imagine having a kid and then not being able to be there. That would just drive me crazy. My head would be at home with mom and baby."
Why do we get the feeling these two are going to be some of the best parents this little boy could ever ask for?
